Also, there are distance limits in beginner mode. If it is enabled you can turn it off in the aircraft tab in the settings.

Make sure this setting is turned off in DJI GO:

When this setting is turned on, your Phantom will be limited to whatever max distance you set in DJI GO after turning it on. Since this setting is stored on your Phantom, you'll need to configure it after your Phantom is connected to DJI GO.
