So if could clear a couple things up. There is no reason why you would want to take off the Wet Suit unless you wanted to replace a specific part that got dragged in a tree.
The amount of extra heat is so minimal as the vents are open but very protected from the water run off . The battery is sealed tight , however we ran it on the day of the Total Eclipse in Tennessee where temps reached 110 degrees that day and the hottest the battery got was 110 an the motors the same, thats only about 10 degrees hotter than a normal run of 96 degrees. The motors can withstand much more heat than that , and we ran it out for 2 hours filming the event.
So the question than becomes if the wet suit does not really keep the drone warmer than what does it do to keep the drone warm, and the answer is it seals off the battery so no cold air can get in and freeze the battery so quickly, That was the game changer for those that fly in the extreme cold, not per say the wetsuit making it warmer but sealing the battery tighter to stop the cold air and of course water.
A lot of people did not buy the Black Obsidian claiming that the black would make it over heat, now that is just not true in any sense of the word, because the drone is flying and cooling at the same time, the heat levels are identical to those of the white phantom. yes black cars do get hotter , but that is if they are sitting still for hours.
Now filming in the rain is a skill, keeping you camera pointed down at a 45 degree is great and using the C2 Key to flip off any drops off the lens works really well. We have plenty of footage that has been taken in the rain and the only way you can see it is if you look at the river below so really not to bad. The snow footage we shot in the blizzard was beautiful over the bridge, and doing it stress free is nicer than a constant worry.
Last thing I want to mention about the Wet Suit, even if you never flew a single day in the rain. the benefits of the Wet Suit are many.
Locks the props in much tighter , a big cause for drones dropping in the sky when they fall off on small impact or mid flight .
locks the battery in tight , so no loss of connection on impact or quick stop
Locks the Leg Clips in , another loss that takes place with many of the landing gear legs.
Gives excellent visual in the sky with contrast so you can see the
orientation of the drone quickly that is why they are two tone and not fancy design. Visual flight is essential.
They also provide 2mm of neoprene that protects the drone from some small impacts
The Surge mask on the bottom and the Surge ring keeps the blowing sand out when your on the beach among stopping water flow from getting in.
Those asking about the protection for the camera, first the camera on the P4 has excellent water resistance as you can actually film under water for a short period of time, on top of the fact that we redirected the water flow with the gimbal ring. No one thus far has had an issue with the camera and we certainly have not as are videos are crystal clear , and that is because DJI already did a lot to the Drone to make it water resistant and we added to it to enhance them all.
Keep in mind the entire focus was to keep the water out of the drone in which we have designed 18 specific parts to do just that, all laser cut , nice.

If the only benefit was the Rain it would still be worth it, because so many people get caught in the rain and than stress and Rice bucket it out, which in long run still damages the drone and things are never the same.
Neoprene was used as it dose to absorb water , but runs off of it.
So the negative : If you have to replace a part , you do need a little Goo Gone , harmless to the drone and a wash cloth to get some of the 3M adhesive off the drone,
takes about 20 minutes to do the whole drone and 15 if you take it off in a cool environment and 5 if its just a single part
