So I heard somewhere in the forums that the Litchi app can actually allow flight into a no fly zone. Someone in a similar situation to what i'm about to explain was told this. Is there any truth to this? I live right on the border of the no fly zone a couple of miles outside of DC and want to fly a DJI Mavic in my backyard however I would assume that it would be bricked right? I

Welcome to the site!

If you live a couple miles outside of DC, your Phantom won't fly - doesn't matter what app you use. It's your AC's firmware that keeps it from flying. Your app has nothing to do with it.

An exception is if you have an old Phantom such as a P2 with old firmware from 2014 or earlier.

If you did somehow find a way to fly, you'd be flying in a "no drone zone." Neighbors might call. Cops would come. You'd likely be fined and have your AC confiscated.

"Bricked" means your AC turns into a brick and will be useless, no matter what you do or where you go. Your AC won't be bricked. It just won't fly in the DC FRZ.

Hope this helps.
