It's not keeping a copy of the flight's video on the iPad

I used to get a lower resolution video clip saved automatically for my flight (P3A), on my iPad Mini 2. I just noticed for the last few months it hadn't been doing that. I still have a flight log I can play back, but no video. The SD card has the full resolution video still, so all is well there.

I am guessing some update changed this. I looked around for some setting to control this but found nothing. No my iPad isn't full. I have all software and devices up to date. Any ideas? It is probably something dumb but the solution is eluding me.

Updates change several settings back to default values and that's probably the issue.
Look in Settings for something about Cache Video and enable that.

If you have a mini 2 you are probably better off not enabling that function.
