Issues with phantom vision

looking at the info I've found elsewhere, yes, the noises we're hearing are totally normal.
The camera unit contains a cooling fan AND the video tx all in one. Add the noise of the electronic gimbal and its no wonder its so whiney!
 
So to follow up on my original post about my gimbal not working. I am having to sadly send the vision back to dronefly for a replacement. Here is what I tried;

1. deleting the app on my iphone and re-installing
2. updating the drivers on both the controller and the phantom.
***PLEASE NOTE, THE MINI USB FOR THE CONTROLLER IS INSIDE THE ACTUAL CONTROLLER. YOU HAVE TO REMOVE ALL 4 SCREWS
AND BE REALLY CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING THE BACK PLATE AND NOT BREAK THE ANTENNA. THE USB IS ON ON THE MAIN CIRCUIT BOARD UPPER LEFT CORNER*** kind of a dumb place for it. but glad i didnt have to take the phantom apart to reach it.
3. tried to use friends phone and installed the app and still nothing.

Also the whining and crackling noise coming from the camera servo is normal.

By the way dronefly.com has been great to deal with and in responding to both my emails and phone calls!! Im glad i bought it off of them.
