I have the old Ipad 2 (IOS 12.5.7) that i use when I repair the wifi modules etc as its the only one that works ok with the old DJI Vision app, just recently I acquired a P3P and a P3A, now heres the strange thing.

If i install DJI GO it opens then closes but remains open if you swipe up the screen

Yet DJI GO4 works fine.

Also both GO apps dont show in the settings to allow changes to location photos etc.

I would have thought that an old Ipad like this would be more than suitable, also im sure it worked once before when i tested a P3P I was repairing but then ever since i deleted the app and downloaded it again it doesnt work.

Hmmm, I had the same problem, so I just switched to an iPhone. I think the latest version of the app must be bugged, as I downloaded it onto an old iPad mini 2 a while ago and it worked. That iPad had Its screen smashed in a fall, so I bought a new Identical one and installed DJI go on it. refused to work.

DJI Vision app, Wifi Modules?
This must be related to the P2V+?

Lost mine July 2015.
I purchased it February 2015, had intermittent live data issues, finally sent in for repair, was kind of working better for about 6 weeks.
The day I lost it, data signal had dropped out, I could visual see it about 3/4 mile, turned it hit full forward.
More details, I will just stop now..

The Mini 2 is from the digital stone age and was released 12 years ago.
It only has 1 GB of RAM and isn't up to the task of running the app.

NO, i was just mentioning why I have this archaic relic, newer devices struggle or fail to run an app as old as the DJI Vision App

On IOS how would i go about doing that?
It's a hack. Back in my day, getting the file from Apple servers required the use of Charles Proxy on a Windows computer. I can give you a HUGE head start by giving you the Apple ID number (AKA: appextvrsid) for Go App v3.1.1, which is 819954562. This information, alone, will save you a LOT of time.

Next you need to download and install a legacy version of iTunes on your Windows computer. v12.5.4.42.

Don't ask me where or how to get these things. It's been YEARS since I used these tools. But with today's AI I'm sure it can guide you through the process.

YouTuber DigDat0 will be a HUGE help in this regard. Here's a Charles Proxy tutorial to get you started:

I believe the channel owner is a guy named Steve, who I was in dialog with. After discussing iTunes with him, he conceded that my version was a better version.

Good luck.

wow that bought back some memories, DIgDat videos, I had forgotten about them, yes i have a feint memory of the process thanks

It sounds like the issue is associated with compatibility between the older iOS model and the DJI GO app. Sometimes older iPads just like the iPad 2 (iOS 12. Five.7) can launch the app but fail to function properly after reinstallation because of old app information or machine barriers. Since DJI GO4 works best, it shows the newer app version is higher optimized on your devices. You would possibly strive reinstalling the app via an older compatible model if available or the usage of a different tool for the DJI GO app.

@karmakap
You made two post so far, this being the most recent.

Anyways :)
Welcome to the forum!

I give up, the version of Itunes wont connect to the ipad but it also wont connect to the internet and open the itunes store, gonna guess that apple have put something in place to stop old versions being used.

"gonna guess that apple have put something in place to stop old versions being used"

My Opinion, Not a doubt!

Me being a windows guy, still using 5 xp's, 3 W7 and one W10, all my mobiles are cRapple's, I have one Android for testing?

First place I would check is @msinger site, compatible devices.

iTunes what a ??

I just decided to try my P3P which I used a Ipad mini 3 with 12.5.7 after 3-4 years of inactivity. It starts for a second then disappears. It wants to load on my Iphone 12Pro Max but after putting the phone number in I never get a verfication code.
I gather it's a difficult route to get it to work. Just hoping there might be a solution now.

Thanks for any advice or help,
Tom
