Is the battery somewhat warm? I would clean all the contacts - including the data contacts - see if that helps
No battery was near outside temp of 68 degrees F . When I took off batt was fully charged. 2 min into flight batt had dropped to less than 50% . Landed P4 Go app
flashed Battery Error. Charged batt again but same error appeared. Battery is only 7 month old but seems to have permanent error. Other batt works fine.
Wonder if Dji will replace FOC if under warranty.

No, I did not. Can you list procedure? Judging from your expertise that would indicate the logs would show the reason for failure during flight, yes. I alternate between 2 batteries and it is
the first batt problem I have encountered with the P4. My P3P has 3 batteries never a problem. I appreciate your help in discovering what happened. I did get a message in the go app
that stated firmware inconsistences detected followed by the batt error. I deleted firmware and re-installed including compass and IMU calibrations.
