Well he & his dad have an arsenal of cameras but he typically has a DSLR in a Canon or Nikon flavor. Love his stuff and it is great to get together with him and talk 'shop'. We have one of his photos blown up on our office waiting area (he's a client as well as a friend). I remember this portrait of Walt Disney from my childhood... how about you?STUNNING photo's!
Fantastic use of HDR, looks almost like paintings. His father's had quite a career too! What kind of equipment does he use? Thanks for sharing.

No, his dad (Neil) took the photo, along with many other famous photos like Gerald Fords Photo for the White House...

WoodstockAny baby-boomer who doesn't remember THAT photo stayed a little too long at Woodstock. It's iconic. Used to do a little wedding photography, had a couple of Nikon F4's, also loved landscape photography but NEVER was good enough to produce results like Mr. Montanus. Had my own darkroom, developed and printed all my own pics. Cibachrome was my favorite. Amazing how much photography has evolved in just a decade! These days I just play around with the D7200 I just got not long ago. Good thing about Nikon, can STILL use all my glass even on newer cameras.
You sir, have a VERY cool friend!

Cool huhAw crap!.... I made the mistake of clicking on your weather station website Porky. So neat I went back and read the entire thread and now I want a freaking weather station.Yeah, like I really need ANOTHER expensive hobby..
Just might have to put this one on the list along with photography (have multiple film cameras & Nikon D7200), astronomy (have a Celestron Nexstar Evolution 6), computers in general (the majority of space in my house if filled with so many computers and electronics I'm surprised NSA hasn't paid me a visit).
I just may have to get a job again...Thanks a lot Porky.. LOL
Cool stuff though Porky!
