How will prop guards work with new motors/props?

I have prop guards but haven't used them one single time since I picked up my P2 a few months back. My P2 v2 arrives tomorrow and curious if the new motors/props would make it any less resistant to prop wash or any other current risks? Just curious.

Maybe as its producing more thrust it would be less resistant?

I have a Vision plus and a brand new V3 Phantom 2 with the new motors. I flew it this weekend with prop guards and it does seem to preform a bit better than my Vision +. Seemed more stable and clearly climbs faster, because it's brand new and it was a bit windy for me, I only flew it with the guards on. I'll try flying it this week without the guards to compare the difference.
