Yeah, no sense in messing with folders. Just place it right on the card. Drag and drop.

For anyone else that is confused by the terminology, trying to explain it in words makes this seem more complicated than it is.
In this screenshot the bin file is in the root directory of the SD card where the Phantom can find it.
... it is in the top level of the card outside any folders.
