Good intuition. From first look, this seem to be correct - DAT log contains many "U2"/"U4" strings, which can also be seen before each line in the serial output.

If somebody here would provide a file containing some of that serial output I could check it to see if it contains the same info as the .DAT. The serial output probably doesn't have the initial part of the .DAT file which is necessary for DatCon to operate. But, I can twist DatCon a little so it can start midstream.

That could prove to be a challenge to record the serial output while in flight.
