Hi, I have a Phantom 2 Vision (Std) and will be flying it as soon as I have repaired it.

It wasn’t fully working when I got it but visibly it looked OK and seemed all there so thought it would be a good starting point and interesting project.

I have had it 2 years and because of other commitments have not been able to put the time in though have read so much about it and bought spares and other stuff I believe I should be able to have it working now I have the time if someone is able to help with a bit of information.

My issue,
A resistor has turned to charcoal on the main board. From a circuit diagram posted on the net (the only one I can find) it is identified as R11 11.5Meg Ohm.

On my drones main board I can see it is a 0805 sized surface mount resistor next to the CAM socket on the main circuit board. Mine is just a small blob of chard charcoal so it is dead and the resistance cant be measured.

Having been designing electronics products for almost 60 years I have never come across a 11.5Meg Ohm surface mount resistor (I’m not saying they don’t exist but I don’t believe they are commonly used). Because of that I need to check and be sure before replacing it.

If you have one of these drones and are able to measure the resistance of R11 I'd be able to get it repaired quicker and I would be so grateful.

The attached pictures shows the position of the resistor.

My main board (the one with R11 on) is marked P330CB-H3-2D V2 (see pic)

If this is teaching granny to suck eggs then I apologise but here goes anyway.

To measure the true resistance of the R11 first remove the drone’s battery, then remove the connectors from both the ZENMUSE & the CAM sockets. You should then be able to measure the true resistance by putting the meters probes on each end of R11.

Many Many thanks.
