Hello All. I came up with a way to protect the motors on your phantom so you don't have to buy anything. Unless you don't have any Duct Tape. Then I guess you'll have to buy something. LOL.

I've attached pictures of what I did to protect my motors. The duct tape is thicker material but flexible and should last a very long time.

1.) Tear off a piece of duct tape about 8" or so. Can be a little longer.

2.) Fold it in half and stick it to the other side.

3.) Roll it in a cylinder shape and shape it around the motor.

4.) Once you get the size you need, tear a little piece off and tape it completely together.

5.) Set it into place around the motor and inside the slit around the motor so it sets in place.

6.) Next, fold over the top so it covers the top of the motor.

7.) Tear off a little piece of duct tape and secure the top.

Your done. Just repeat the process 3 more times for the rest of your motors. Works like a charm!

I am using a backpack and a foam insert wont fit in there. They are exposed if i do not cover them. I feel better if they are covered. LOL.

Same here. It prevents the motor shafts from damaging my backpack as the phantom is a very snug fit. It also makes it easier to put into the backpack as I have to slide it in a little because the flap doesn't open fully. Otherwise the shafts tend to catch.

Hey. No problem. Still haven't been able to fly it since its high 20's and got some snow since my P3S arrived this past thursday. I can't wait to take it for a spin.

I hope your weather improves. Where I live it hasn't gotten above freezing when the wind wasn't too strong. But I've managed to get 14 hours of flight time in. Battery life is no doubt an issue but I've never flown in warm weather so I have no point of reference. I can't wat for spring!
