You need it to make sure that the ESC you suspect is the one which causes error.

Since the chip was replaced, it may just have wrong firmware.
Check if there are no cracks in solder around Flight Controller.
Check if MOSFETs have the same resistances.

Since you have the board removed from drone, do the electric check first:
1. Check (visually) if the solder around central FC board isn't cracked.
2. Use the multimeter to check if resistances between 3 pads or each MOSFET are the same.
