That's pretty big - look at it on his backpack. haha I'd rather have one that folded up, snapped together or something. But that looks really cool.

Was thinking about that the other day when looking for a reasonably level piece of ground to launch from near a cliff face. Wondered if one of these (modified) would do the trick?

Pros: Cheap, compact, no metal, adjustable folding legs. Cons: not sure.

No, the size is allright...it overlaps a little bit my backpack but that's not an issue.
