Y'all do what you want to - but I'm not bringing a Phantom chest-high, grabbing it right in front of my face, and turning it sideways.

If I absolutely must hand catch, thankfully I have enough dexterity to reach up above my head while pulling the throttle all the way back

+1 right there. IF I'm going to hand catch, I darn well make sure it is hovering ABOVE my head. I then reach up and grab a leg. Anything lower, and a bit of a gust or glitch could be catastrophic.
