What would be the root cause because all the calibrations were done and well as updates.

The gimbal always goes through a setup routine when it boots up. If it's shaking after the initial "dance," then that could be issues with a gimbal motor or cable

A much clearer definition of the issue would be greatly appreciated, if you would like assistance. If you are speaking of the "Gimbal Dance" that is normal. Otherwise please give a more thorough walk through of what you are experiencing.

@Dbird,
Welcome to the forum!

Yes, pretty vague.

It this a new Phantom,
is this a new problem,
are you new to Phantoms ;)

Your turn, we are waiting.

Details...
I have been flying drones for about 3 years new to phantom, 3 months now
It's a used P3 Advance that hit a pole a couple of weeks ago at a slow speed impact but enough of a fall to break a propeller. Getting to the details, I am familiar with the boot "dance" with the gimbal but after it stops it has a slight vibration that seems to be coming from the housing directly above the camera. The vibration comes in pulses, even stops and restarts when the pitch is moved. After the crash it was fine but I just noticed yesterday that it wouldn't subside. IMU was calibrated and then a recent firmware update. After the update it seemed to get worse and not go away.

Assuming you did a gimbal calibration, and have checked the grub screw.
Is the camera tilted at all?

Rod

After it goes thru the “dance” it’s a bit tilted to the left but soon levels itself

Screw tight levels off and I just noticed the vibration quits if the gimbal is tilted 5-8 degree down or greater. When straight out it start again, down it stops

Kind of late on that one. ;)

I really don't have a lot to offer, hoping somebody else would chime in.
I kind of having some thing similar going on.

Have you messed with gimbal horizontal settings, I think it is called roll?

Yes I searched high and low for a possible solution. What would you recommend here on PP.com to draw a larger group to help us

Hum, just keep this thread busy.

Oh, and tag people that seem to be smarter then me, like @Fly Dawg

I had a really goofy day I will be back when I can.

I finally gave up and bought another camera and it works fine
I hate when I have to give up,
Been there to many times....

Thanks for the update!

Rod
