Gimbal for Phantom 2 with GoPro Hero2?

Hi gang,

I've got a 2011 GoPro HD HERO2 (outdoor edition) and I'm in the market for a drone. Wanted the Phantom 2, but the GoPro gimbal is only spec'd for the HERO3. Has anyone used this with a HERO2?

It won't work with the Hero 2 because of the size and weight differences.
