FRC info.

Hi folks,

Wondering if anybody has been through the FRC process for the CAA permissions approval?

Anyway, I have a few questions relating to this that I'm finding hard to find the info out for.

What's the:

1) Maximum take off weight
2) Motor speed (RPM - 900? )
3) Maximum flight time with payload - obviously depending on the weight?
4) battery weight?
5) Charger weight?
6) max wind - 10 mph?

Do you even need it for a P2? I was under the impression it wasn't required, per http://www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?catid ... geid=11187 (20kg and above)

Or am I misunderstanding "FRC" in this context?

Hiya,

Yup it is for the Phantom 2 with is 1180g in weight. permission is needed for aerial work which is what this is for regardless of weight?

That's odd. CAP722 states there is no requirement for airworthiness criteria for sub-20kg aircraft, and there's no place in the application SRG1320 (Permission for Aerial Work) for the information you stated (and explanatory note 12 confirms no airworthiness information required for sub-20kg). You need permission, but don't need to provide any airworthiness information in order to get that permission.

Like I said perhaps we're at cross-purposes.
