I am planning to fly my Mavic and Phantom tomorrow near the planetarium and was wondering what the regulations are in downtown Chicago and where I should fly from?

Is Meigs Field still there? If so, I'm guessing the 1300 South Lakeshore Drive is within a no-fly zone.
10-4. Assuming Soldier Field is still around there may be restrictions. But here's a thread from awhile back that may help. Chicago Ordinance Still A Bit Vague....?
