I have a requirement to map streets and I don't want to fly over the houses, etc between streets. Does anyone know of a flight planning software (for mapping, so able to set flying height, sidelap, endlap, etc, etc) that can create a flight plan to map 4 streets in a block without flying over the land in between?

I can create 4 flight flights, one for each street, but I prefer a better solution of 1 single flight plan, if possible. Flight lines should run parallel to each streets own centreline.

Any help or pointer in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Thanks and Best Regards,
Dave

Pix4d capture? (No experience with it, just know that it's used for mapping) Free stuff, won't hurt your wallet to try.

Hi Flyinguser,

Thanks for the response.

I regularly use Pix4d and DroneDeploy for flight planning, but neither of these does the doughnut flight plan. Perhaps I could find s/w that allows No Fly Zones, then create a No Fly Zone over the houses, etc in between the streets, but I think this would also result in short cross lines on 2 sides, which I'm trying to avoid.

Thanks again,
Dave
