I've had many electronics go in the water, I have salvaged about 90% of them. I first submerge the item in rice and leave it there for 2weeks to a full month bring them out of that and clean them up with electromotive or alcohol and bam working again. For me its always worth a shot I'm a Marine Corp vet I'm pretty stubborn and refuse to give up on anything till all avenues are explored. lol
