Firmware version

I'm not sure if my 3 4k is safe with 3.1.2 firmware.
Everything seems to work fine, but I haven't tried or used RTH function yet.
Is there a problem with it?

Do you mean 3.1.2 DJI Go software? I don't think that is a FW number but, I don't have a 4k.

There is an issue for Android users with the v 3.1.2 DJI go app.
I don't have the facts, but at some point in the flight, the home point gets set to 2k ft or so the the WNW of the actual home point, so some users have lost their Phantom's when the bird goes to the wrong "home"

I haven't had any problem with my P3S and DGI Go 3.1.2 doing a RTH, but have only flown it a couple of times...

Ixlr8 the problem is only with android devices so yes if you use your mini you are good to go!
