So after reading on here that the Amazon Fire tablet will work I went ahead and got one. I know it's not great but my tablet budget went to gimbal/camera parts. I read that the Amazon tablet didn't a gps and the maps wouldn't work, blah, blah, blah, whatever. After installing Google Play I installed DJIGo 4 AND Google maps. At first everyone was correct, no map info but Google maps showed the map and GPS info. I knew if it worked as a stand alone app then it would work on the DJIGo app. After taking a Play Store update low and behold the map is working. The update said it would fix the map and it did. Why a Play Store update? I haven't the foggiest. Anyway, I does work, it will work, it does have GPS, and no it's not cellular triangulation. The Amazon tablet has no connection to any mobile network. It only has wifi,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and GPS.
