Fast old train

Heard this train at waikanae station,,
Chased it over 15km to next town called Otaki unsure on steam train type but cool anyway,,,p3s in light rain so keept my distance from train,,,was set up to catch early meteor shower but clould killed that idea,,so it was a train

Aren't all the railroads in NZ narrow gauge? 3'6"? That would be one of the reasons Ianzone's images look like an HO scale model.

Heard train at train station,,jumped in car,where I am it's straight onto motorway along side tracks,the train was doing near 100km,,,the speed limit on road is 100km,I drive 16 km to next station to get these pictures,I could not stop on motorway or train pass me,,so yes I Chased it,,even in photos if you look each picture different,,was in new town I was not going to fly up to Windows,,,,next time I give chase I shall document it for you,,,mate I had just woken up and next thing I on motorway chasing train before I even had morning coffee,,that's me in car park,,stationary ,like was not.....you post some pics and I say if you stationary or not,,at least I'm out doing it
