I just tether to get maps then turn it of and no probs at all

Were in the app is this setting to check or change ios by the way

Open Pilot App. Click the camera in the bottom left to bring up the camera controls on the P3. Click Menu in the upper left. Click the icon with HD in it on the left. Scroll down below the channel selector. You should see it.

Keep in mind you have to have the controller and P3 on to see the setting. If either are off the setting will not show up in the app.

Unless you tethering from a 5.8GHZ conection.... The regular 2.4ghz will cause trouble... I have hardware/Decoder on on my IPAD AIR 2 all the time.. no issues.. LTE tho..

Just been flying and set up was as follows with my Air 2!

Tethered to phone to cache maps zooming in on the area I was at.

Turned on Airplane mode and flew.

All I can say is brilliant. No breaking up or blocky picture. It was faultless. Oh and Decode was off.

Perfect thanks for all the advice.

Only problem was the Ultrasonic error half way through recommending I land but that is another issue I think with the firmware update.

I will try it off. It was always on - that may cause extra heating of ipad mini3 And yes I have changed it to 4 mbps

ON should cause less heat, it'll use more GPU instead of CPU for video feeds.
