Drone near LAX

Sigh. We all knew this would start happening - we just hoped that no one was dumb enough to do it. Now we will start having to face the consequences of an entire industry treating a very (potentially) dangerous vehicle as a toy.

Reactions: Lifted Chevy
That article reads like it was written by a 2nd grader.

I guess it was not a Phantom... at least not a newer one or it would not be able even take off or fly in the NFZ.

Of course there are numerous other models that do not have built in NFZ's

... and if this sighting was valid, yes, idiots!

NOTE: I would like to see some visual tests done to see if a pilot could actually see a consumer drone while going 350 mph...

"The crew did not provide a description or proximity and did not take evasive action," he said.

Yet the photo of something similar is shown of a quad that nearly collided with the plane.

Not sure that information is helpful for the FAA to take appropriate action.

The title of the article says it all. The article is anti drone. We get it. While the pilot may have seen a drone at 1500ft, saying it was a near collision is bs and just out of the writers imagination.
