Hi gang,

I've a job tomorrow in the city. Shooting for a school website. They want a video clip that starts at a statue in a neighborhood square about .6 mile -( 6/10ths) from the school.
Going up the statue (tall obelisk kind of thing) then flying to the school and descending in front.

As its in a large city I figure it to go in 2 or 3 parts. That's a bit far to go in the city. Way out of visual range
Because of trees.
1- from the square, up the statue to say 120-150', then on towards the school with is one street over and west just over half mile. Fly approx 1/2 the distance (about 1600' away)
-Stop.
-Note where I am, take a down shot to identify position - bring it back

2- drive to the 1/2 way point - or maybe to the school itself & fly back to that spot. Re-launch, go to approx position I left off, and film the 2nd half of the way to the school and down.
Or possibly stop the clip above the school and do a 3rd clip of the descent.

Just read about and looked at DJI video about Draw mode.
Seems like a good way to get me in the right path and have a lot of control.
Set the speed & height and it will remain constant.

2 questions:
Would the standard "Forward" Draw mode be best, or "Draw-Free"?
2- Can I draw the path on the MAP rather than the actual camera view?

Reason I ask is since the school is a block over and west, and theres a lot of trees, it would be easier to see my path on the Map view to draw the path.
And return to the midpoint.

Thoughts?
Suggestions?

I thought it was a cool idea & want it to work for them.

Is there a distance limitation with Draw mode?
Will I be able to have it go 1600' away?
Forgot to say I'm flying a P4P-v2, latest firmware & Go forward.
