Don't use GoPro with FC40????

What app do you use with the camera? Does it work any better than the FC40 app?

I downloaded the app (SYMAJIX), but it doesn't work with the CF40 cam. I have a feeling it is the camera name stopping it.

What name shows up on your wifi when you turn the camera on?

just for shits and giggles, i renamed the ssid of the FC40 camera to GoExtreme_Wifi - as seen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeDyJeEhSyo

The app didnt connect.
Quite possible its 2 different technologies.

Close to the house 10m - about to try with a UHS-1 Sandisk later today away from my wifi house .

Symagix seems OK but as above limited range so far - Certainly no better than FC40 app no zoom either !!

SY5000WIFI - I've tried a range extender on both cameras and it didn't help - Couldn't get either camera to join with the extender I have so I have another portable wifi range extender in the mail somewhere to try out - maybe this week ??

I just record the whole flight from go to whoa and edit on my PC later - That way I also know how long the flight was !!

GP3 on FC40

I too would like to use a GoPro3 soon. But; what am I missing with these 4 point gimbals? How does it mount to the FC40?

Does someone make a non-powered antivibe mount that uses the 2 point screw mount that the stock cam does?

quick little lesson about weight distribution - learned the hard way.

I dont have the gimbal yet, but I decided to mount the gopro using its own casing as a test (kind of heavy).

Well, always go full blast while holding back on the right joystick to avoid a front tip over and the props digging into the dirt! lol

I kind of knew it would happen, but at least I have spare props.
Also, it might make me buy the phantom 2 props for the added lift.

The phantom certainly feels like a tank in the air!

I'm probably going to eventually go this route. If I can't find mounting hardware on ebay, I see no reason I couldn't rig up my own mounting hardware with a piece of aluminum or suitable plastic taking into consideration weight distribution.

I also just picked up a 2700mA battery to compensate and provide additional flight time.
