The remote controller is the same size as the Spark & Mavic Pro's remote controller.

Max length of the device = 160mm, thickness = 6,5 to 8,5 mm

So, otherwise, You should opt for 3pp adapter.

How does the length compare to the Mavic Pro? It just doesn't look that much smaller in length. Can't really tell from the pictures .

You heard correctly. The Mavic Air does not use OcuSync like the Mavic Pro does.
