DJI commits to $145,000 to dob in dodgy flying

This also brings into focus what information is shared with DJI when you fly. Not just by their App but by third party ones.
There's nothing in this that suggests that DJI have any information about your flights beyond what you choose to upload to their cloud.
 
Not on that we are going to have a chat with some security experts soon on our weekly hangout, there is evidence that more goes home to China than you think. One of the reason government entities in the USA are not allowed to use DJI.

I'd be interested to see the what evidence there is.
My Phantom doesn't often get a chance to send anything anywhere.
I guarantee they don't see anything from me, my tablet internet is always turned off while flying and I have never updated or posted a log.
 
I use for my phantom 3 standard a tablet that never connect to the internet. It's the phantom is off, the tablet is as well off. I have never used any other device. So, the chances that I have to sent anything over the internet is almost nonexistent.
 
Very true, yours I would suspect is a less common arrangement.
