That's amazing! I was just telling my wife two days ago, somebody needs to invent a way to use these unreliable lipos that we can't fly with and are accumulating - and make them useable like a power pack so that we can charge stuff. Somebody needs to make a cord that can plug into the power end and then will accept a usb cable. That's exactly what I told her. And then this comes up two days later...

EBay etc. have had dischargers with USB connection to use the power for charging mobile phones etc. for ages.

I have one. Its programmable to do either full discharge to lower safe limit about 3v or to safe storage voltage per cell.

I did once discharge to 0%, if we see the cell information in go app shows 3.5-3.6v, this limit of lipo battery, it has been set by intelligent battery phantom.
