I started out using the neck strap from a SLR camera, it is reasonably comfortable and certainly stong enough but allows the controller to swing rather a lot.
I then bought a cheap chest harness of the sort shown in the attachment, it was comfortable, the controller was stable and it seemed strong enough but the other day one of the p or d shaped bits of one of the upper clips came out of is pivot. Fortunately the controller wasn't attached to the harness.
I now face cutting the stitching and replacing both clips of this type and perhaps all 3 clips with more robust ones.

I was wondering does anyone use a DIY harness?
Likewise does anyone attach their harness to their GL300 type controller via anything other than the hole in the tablet bracket?
If so can you post a photo or photos of their harness and means of attachment?

Um no not experience that yet but I would just use another dog clip or similar and sow back on bottom to hold remote,,maybe attach a key ring swivel on remote so larger clip can be used,,,,i use similar harness on occasion ..this harness also carry drone on your back,,have other neck straps but this is more comfortable to wear

cob Adjustable Remote Controller... Amazon.com: cob Adjustable Remote Controller Lanyard Strap Shoulder Strap Belt Sling for DJI Phantom 3 Professional, Advanced, Standard, 4K/Phantom 2 Vision, 2.5 cm Width, DJI Drone Accessories: Toys & Games

There are many Transmitter Trays out there can be modified .... I have one from Hobby King that I modified to carry my P3S and its boosters etc.

Back plate and Velcro ...

Now ? I have reverted it back to use for normal RC models ... but TBH - I prefer just a plain Neckstrap ...

I attend lots of Conferences / Seminars and I keep the neckstraps that carry delegates card ... they make excellent Tx straps !!

looks like a tripod/monopod ballhead with a quick release plate attached to a specialised plate that clips to contollers base, an interesting idea. Thanks

My only concern with fixed mount bases such as tripods .... you then need to ensure you are using Omnidirectional antenna to avoid reduced signal as AC flies out of antenna alignment.
The neckstrap / harness system of course doesn't have this problem as you would normally face the AC all times.
