Are you referring to the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1" model? If so, it's 6.11" wide and it will fit in the remote controller holder.

Widest is about 6.6" that you could fit.

I found devices up to 6.75" inches can fit. Some people are squeezing in iPad Pros (6.85").
