Im no shill for anyone, just stating my experience. I will say there is most likely truth in the banggood review page censorship claim, but you can find discussions about the banggood batteries here and on rcgroups and elsewhere, I have seen very few if any complaints besides the firmware issue:
Yes, the 'new' clones work with the current update. Im not sure if those who bought before the firmware compatibility issue can update their battery to make it work again, possibly not. And there are also no guarantees these batteries will work with future firmwares, but as of now, they do work.
