Canadian national police (RCMP) worried about drone use.

"RCMP’s National Division in Ottawa has formed a UAV committee to consider, among other things, how officers should respond in the event that they learn a UAV is carrying explosives or dangerous material.
If a UAV approaches a VIP, options include keeping the VIP inside or escorting that person to safety, though the “potential embarrassment” to the VIP must also be considered.
If a threatening UAV is on the ground, the guidelines suggest throwing a blanket or jacket on top of it to prevent it from taking off or, if there is no evidence of explosives or dangerous materials, turning the UAV upside down".
It's clear that no-one on this UAV committee has any idea what a UAV is or its limitations. They have a very tenuous grip on reality and can't tell the difference between Hollywood action flicks and real life.
Someone should take them out flying sometime to learn a thing or two so they can rein in their overactive imaginations.

Here in Quebec there have been a couple of incidents where UAV's were used to transport drugs into prison yards. There was also an instance of a helicopter staging an escape here from a prison yard. (Seems the prisons here, need some additional training)
I have had 2 people on different occasions showing an interest but mentioning to me to keep it away from prison yards. All of this keeps adding to this hysteria around the negative aspects of flying a UAV.

Unfortunately it is inevitable that drones will be used as a tool for terrorism. I recently received Call Of Duty "Advanced Warfare". The entire game is loaded with drones... shooting drones, sentry drones, even drone news cameras following reporters. They probably are not that far off the mark in their interpretation. It's a drone future out there like it or not.

The limitations of civilian drones makes them a fairly unlikely delivery system...
In any case... Anything to sell a paper...
