Canada - Regulations

Hi everyone, I recently purchased a dji standard. I've read that here in Canada there are regulations in place which is understandable. I briefly read transport Canada and noticed that it said drones that are under a specific weight don't need a license, and also if your not using it for commercial use and getting paid your exempt as well. Wondering if there is somebody out there that knows about this and what the regulations are for my drone phantom 3 standard. I'm not using fir commercial use.

You are under 35 kilos and not commercial you are good to go. Flying your drone safely and legally - Transport Canada

There will be more regulations in 2017 regarding licensing and certification.
