When a P3 is purchased with the bundled battery who is actually responsible for providing that battery when it becomes available. The dealer who sold the bundle or DJI. Does DJI owe the battery to the buyer via the dealer? Who got the extra $100, the dealer or DJI? What if the dealer goes out of business before delivering the extra battery, is DJI responsible for the battery or are we just out of luck. Was the extra battery a dealer deal or was it supposed to be delivered with the P3 from DJI to the dealer? :(

Whoever you purchased from is responsible for sending you the battery. If you did not purchase from DJI directly, then you'll need to contact the seller directly for a refund.

Exactly.

Why would DJI be responsible for your transaction with a third party?
Because the extra battery was part of the original deal DJI was offering, like the extra props, not the dealer. Or was it a dealer offer only, not a bundle from DJI? Did the dealer pay extra to DJI for the package or did he keep the entire $100 for himself.

Doesn't matter.

Simple contract law.

Your transaction was with the dealer. If they promise something they can't or don't or won't deliver, your recourse is with them not with the manufacturer.

It doesn't matter why they can't or don't deliver the battery. That's between you and them. Not DJI.

If the dealer went out of business and you cannot contact them, then just call your credit card company. I'm sure they will have no problem reversing the charge.
