Now at the bottom I have a small tab of velcro on my holder and on my pad to really hold it and works great .
Have that as I did have a mini slip out and cracked the screen awhile back .
Well if your case is like mine the part out of the box isn't wide enough .

Turned out the case I ordered was for the 2017 iPad 9.7”
It was too tight. Could not get it on. Returned & went with a 3rd party knockoff of the magnetic iPad case that Apple now sells without the back.
Not as much protection as i wanted, but better than the new Apple one which I consider useless.

That looks pretty good. Positive it fits the new 2018 model?
Also, this does NOT have a screen protector? If not, good. Because I already have a tempered glass piece on the screen.
The 2017 and 2018 iPad are identical, no design change was made with it. With that said, this fit my 2018 iPad 9.7. It does not come with a screen protector.
According to Otterbox customer support, the 2018 is like .8” (8/10) thicker. And the reason I could not get the case I wanted -Otterbox Universe series- on at all.
I was afraid I’d break the iPad. The guy confirmed it is NOT compatible.

But this looks similar to the Otterbox and much better drop protection.
I also bought a nice bracket adapter from Polarpro the slides onto the end of the RC bracket and will hold just about any case nicely.
