battery not powering drone

just bought a 2nd battery. first one works fine.
2nd one charges fine, I can check it and power it outside the P4. But when plugged in, it powers up but there's no power to the drone.
Any clues?

Is it a genuine DJI battery?

looks like one! right box etc. it's a ph4-5350. is there a way to check serial number?

It should give you a message in the DJI Go app if it is non genuine. I would check the contacts, both on the battery and the AC.

all look clean to me. no error on the app but then the drone isn't powering on. battery is new so i think this is dead?
