Lawman0210 I made this one for my P3 standard from an empty laundry detergent bottle and foil. Took about 10 minutes and close to doubled the range i was getting with line to sight.

How about we all switch to metric for the distance and stop using feet for that. I can live with the elevation measurements in feet, but the distance on this scale measured in feet is just plain wrong.

So, 1 foot is 1/3 of a yard, and there is 1760 yards in a mile... so much easier than that stupid multiply by 10 business!

Hello everybody Iam brand new on this stuff and Iam so excited
You are all amazing guys
Please tell me do I need to modify my rc ???because where do I live there are lots of buildings and cables causing weak signal and electromagnetic interference
Dbsmods.com is the best way to go. The dbs itelite antenna is easy to aim and the range far exceeds the battery power.

Well there's 6 inches in a foot... well that's what I tell my wife anyway

For those who do long range flight regularly are you afraid your going to have a malfunction and go down? Or even hit something due to pilot error? I ordered an aluminum windsurfer that is in the mail, but I fear doing super long range flight because when if I did go down it would be over. My wife's family lives in a rural area so next time we are visiting I plan to give do a range test of a mile or two because it mostly open fields and farm animals. It seems like a recipe for disaster in the city

My longest flight so far 5400 feet and yes it does become kind of addicting, now that ive done that just wanna push it a bit farther, probably would have gone farther that day but gotta get me a sunshade was having a hard time seeing the screen....but here in Sask Canada we got nothing but flat land and not alot of bush so pretty safe flyin far

You really need a recovery plan in preparation for a malfunction. I use Marco Polo. Although it's not as quick and easy to use as Trackimo that uses cellular technology, Marco polo doesn't need cell coverage for it to work, plus there's no monthly cell charge. Many of my long distance flights are far from cell service. That said, Marco polo has a two mile range limit, Trackimo doesn't, within cell coverage. However, if you have a problem you should know the general direction to look, getting you within 2miles. Once you have a recovery plan you won't be as worried about malfunction.
