Several threads on this. It's not yet in any app. DJI will be adding it. As far as time... does anyone really ever know. Info is, in the next couple months.

Cane, Keep on the lookout for @Kaehn They have the best P2 app out now IMO and are currently working on the P3 app. It will have all the goodies plus more.

Cant help but notice how the interface on Litchi app is similar to the DJI Pilot. Is the follow me an add on? or is Litchi a full fledged app?

This is a full-fledged app. I have been beta testing for them for the last couple months. This is an excellent app. The phantom 3 app will be out shorty.
