I see the regulations for drone flying in the UK are about to change: Drone users face new rules across Europe and UK

What’s your take on the new regs?

I am most concerned by the Remote ID Rules. There is no more than two years till my three drones are word nothing. My hope is that there will be an affordable device coming up from DJI and Autel.

What remote ID rules? I didn’t see that among the UK CAA regs

OK, I thought You still live under EASA rules. I forgot You left EU yesterday night. I live in Sweden and have to accept the EASA rules saying: The drone must, unless tethered, have a direct remote identification that:
allows the upload of the UAS operator registration number
ensures, in real time during the whole duration of the flight, the direct periodic broadcast from the UA......., of the following data.....
1. the UAS operator registration number
2. the unique physical registration number
3.the geografical position of the UA
4.....
