Another phantom lost to pilot error

I join the ranks of those who have lost a Phantom because there stupid.

Question is would a mavic with the avoidance sensors stopped this in time? Trying to decide to I replace or bite the bullet and upgrade. Thoughts???

OA might have helped. Did you fly straight into that vertical member or was there a compass issue. You were close to a lot of steel.....

Phantom 4 has multiple avoidance sensors too, right?

I flew it straight in. I was flying looking at the drone and thought it was past the end of the bridge. Guess my depth perception was a few feet off.

I have not flown a drone with obstacle avoidance so not sure if it would have saved me or not. Trying to decide if I get another P3S or spend the cash on a Mav and hope the added sensors are worth the cost of crashing another P3???
