Sorry ... not a solution for Lithium battery fire.

It will put out the 'surrounding fire' but not the source fire - the LiPo.

LiPo fires are self sustaining without need for external oxygen.

No need to apologize .
Posted this because I like the affordability and the fact that it may help mitigate some fire damage .
In no way shape or form do I view this as an end all, be all solution .:)

These are all over facebook now .....

Its actually a very good idea as a self actuating fire extinguisher used in correct settings.

BUT - before people rush out for them .... think on this.

They are Dry Powder extinguishers allied to percussive action. So you have a massive blow and then smothered by powder. Great. But the mess after can be awful.
Example : Telephone exchange I knew in UK .... cost a lot of money to build and install. Few years later had a minor fire that was put out by Dry Powder. That exchange never worked again - it had to be completely stripped and rebuilt as all the equipment was full of DP.
Imagine your home ... fire is put out before it spreads too far ... but you still lose a lot from the extinguisher !

Don't get me wrong - just commenting that the right extinguisher for the job ...
