1A, 2A, or 3A Charging?

Hey All-
I am new to the world of Lipo batteries. I have always heard that slower is better for charging batteries. Is this true with the lipos or is that an old hold-over from lead/acid battery days of old? I am not worried about charging time, just which is better for the batteries.

Yep, it's still good to charge slowly. For your Phantom charger on a standard battery, use 2A (which is a bit less than 1C). IIRC on the stock charger 3A is a useless setting that doesn't actually deliver the stated rate.

I remember reading the same, but can't find the reference now. Something about capping out at 2.2A or 2.5 maybe.

with my Phantom batteries, I'd always do 1A, unless I'm in a bit of a rush, then I'll do 2A.
