If the charger light is a steady red, the charger is powered and working properly. Have you been doing battery maintenance by running the battery down below 8% every 20 charges? If you don't do this, the battery will begin to resist taking a full charge.

This is pure speculation on my part, but I have had issues after the April 7 update with Vision app video link freezes, I would have to land the phantom, power cycle, then all was ready to go again. Probably not what this update was for, I do not see how the central board would be involved with...

Test flight after updating, went well. Seem to be no issues so far. This update is for MC 3.0 or higher.
