Well... It doesn't work on my Samsung 7 or my Tab E and I don't have any other devices to try it on. I wish there was a patch to hook it up to a laptop or pc, if only for troubleshooting. Thanks for the suggestion. If I have a chance to try another device I'll give it a shot.

Well, that worked ... to some degree. So, many thanks for your help! Definitely hooked up to the drone but there are issues. No picture on the screen. Says it's ready to fly in dji go but when you select take off, it comes back take off failed. Also, I can't save changes in the settings...

I have a new transmitter for my phantom 4 (new used) it started out with the charging led problem where once plugged in one led would blink a few times and then it would go dead. Refloated the solder around the relevant connections and it's now charging and behaving like it is supposed to...

Apparently, perfectly good batteries are doing this. Suggestions are that it's the RC main board. DJI validated this.

I think you've touched on the problem for me. At some point experience ruining accident reduction methods to the point that the reason for doing something in the first place is gone, or relying on personal responsibility of operators to mitigate risk. Neither is perfect and the inevitable...

You are right. Another more basic issue is this: Even with the exams, tests, built in distance and height limitations, etc., There are still going to be accidents from "duffusses" and experienced with brain farts and equipment failures. Just look at General Aviation. Look at the Automobile...

Excuse me... is that the option you want?? Their is a huge licensing system in place so you can drive your "chevy". If the car mfgs took care of licensing and testing (see dji exam) things would be much worse. Yeah, that's the ticket.... Ticketing and fines, court fees. Just don't get...

Can anyone predict damage to phone or R/C will occur if you cut wire #1? Will the connection try to load V+ through the D+ line and blow the buffer circuit or something else as sinister?
