I drug my old Phantom 2 Vision out of storage to see if I could safely get her in the air. On initial run-up (without props), I seemed to have full function of my UAS except for the live view of the camera; I was getting a black screen but was still able to take photos. I tried several...
I just tested for my sUAG and decided to get my old Phantom 2 out to see if it was still viable. It appears the batteries have all successfully taken a charge! Today I plan on setting up my Phantom in my office, sans rotors, and seeing how she functions. Wish me luck!
Does anybody know if the Phantom 3 landing gear are dimensionally the same as the Phantom 2 gear? If they are, I'll snag a set for my Phantom 2 Vision with aftermarket gimbal. I oculd use the ground clearance!
I had originally installed my Taco Supreme gimbal without any lock-tight on the dampener screws, and one had vibrated loose and I lost the nut. I ordered a replacement set from the Taco guys, but I still didn't have any lock-tight, so I screwed them down kind of tight just to get by for the...
I updated my P2V and set out today to fool around with it and the new-to-me Ground Station part of the Vision App. I was in a large empty parking lot bordered by a bunch of soccer fields; couldn't think of a better place to fly it! I turned on everything and did a compass calibration first...
I probably explained incorrectly what the issue is. The Vision software downloads to the tablet just fine, both from Google Play and by side loading it. Google Play says the app is not compatible with my device. The app starts fine, but when you go to the "camera" function, the app kicks me...
I've got a Motorola Xoom tablet and I can't get the Vision app to work with it. The Google Play store says the app isn't compatible with my device (but I seem to remember it being compatible in the past). Does anybody have a work around for this? Thanks!
I'm about to update the software in my Phantom 2 Vision; something I've only ever done once before. The last time I did the software update, I believe it was to version 3.0, and I did it right before I installed my Taco gimbal. This weekend I installed everything on my laptop that I need to...
The Taco Gimbal is relatively easy to install considering it doesn't really have directions. LOL It has a couple of pictures you have to look at and do some figuring out for yourself where some wires go. Lets just say, if I could figure it out, most of you guys should be able to handle it no...
I've known a little about Ground Station for a while but never really took a hard look at it before. Today I got to see a product demo and I liked it! I'm running a Phantom 2 Vision with a Taco gimbal; will Ground Station work with my Phantom? Thanks!
No such luck here, but they did show me that I can order the replacements from their website. $11.99 shipped isn't to awfully bad I guess! (That's for four complete dampener protectors.)
