Take a look at the awesome hand held controller.
Which features a built in viewer that is visible in sunlight.
No need for a monitor, extra gadgets on the bird. No need for goggles or glasses.
No need for a sloppy monitor bracket.
Having the camera view directly in your hands means you can control the bird safely, while being able to see what is around it.
Get with it DJI, bring us one of these awesome controllers.

and only 10 times the price! yea why can't they cram all those features and design into our much cheaper amateur level product.

Hmmmm.... Take a look at their 'Showpiece' video on their site with sample footage!

It kicks in at 1:08 - Totally unusable with that much jitter and jello (and this is meant to show the product off at it's best)

Or how about this video from their YouTube channel - Check out the horizon drift at 0:19  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avxHnmeWLz0&list=UUzwFLV_gj6TolvmuBC6OQXA

Or this - totally unusable for cinematic footage - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQT1y09_N44&list=UUzwFLV_gj6TolvmuBC6OQXA

Yes, they have a nice neat package (foldable, nice box, doubtful controller etc) but the stability of the platform leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm only interested in the design and layout of the controller.
I could care less about the video output of the craft.

Nothing revolutionary there.
For that kind of $$ there are better machines out there.
Have a look at the Align M480 or the smaller versions they are going to develop soon.
They are a good price and they have modern features.
